The garage designs had a set of criteria to follow. They were to incorporate traffic signs and post, car parts and needed to have a large visual impact. Many helped in the collaboration of this project. Some contributions were that a local career center cut traffic signs, people donated license plates and car hubcaps, and the community radio station made daily announcements encouraging people to come participate.
