This site was selected because the school buses go around this island everyday. The sculpture was added to this space with the intent that students be inspired daily by the theme encompassing this project. The Rocket is the mascot of the school. The concept of the rocket also supports the goal of students reaching their highest potential. The dimensional aspects of this project can be found not only in the vertical stars, but also in the circular shapes in the mosiacs embedded in the concrete base of the sculpture. Within the mosaics are corresponding symbols for each profession represented in the stars. These features depict the various professions of which the students expressed interest, i.e. pilots, doctors and lawyers.
