collaborative art project using recycled materials with elementary school by Joe LaMantia
Hoosier Landscapes
Mixed Media/New and Recycled Materials

2004

This rural elementary school had an atrium area that they wanted to convert using art, but with very little maintenance. The theme chosen was "Hoosier Landscapes". The concept was developed around the car, since cars seemed to occupy the landscapes of many Indiana farms. Car hoods and doors became our canvas and stones and bricks designed in rows became our fields.
