This elementary school wanted to highlight their main parking lot with a sculpture that used natural materials from the area. They wanted the materials to also reflect the natural grasses and flowers found in the arboretum just east of the parking lot. The limestone was selected as limestone quarries have been historically prevalent in the area. Next to the school runs the creek which gave the school its name.
